Someone called Fabian_Solutions gave some fatuous answer to a Daniel Hannan article about the Fed Res and Bank of England. This is Shaft120's reply. Delicious:
"The tough decisions are ones people don't want ot hear. you make reference to the launch of the NHS and it was a laudable in its creation at the time. Since then it's purpose has been abused in a similar fashion to the Human rights act.
You make mention of facism and the stand against it. Yet, although I'll grant you a Scottish socialist movement against Franco, it was Winston Churchill who linked an all party unity government in world war 2, from a majority (69%) conservative house of commons.
Northern Ireland you give one line to, as persumably the rest of that sentence would include the words "Blair capitulation IRA murderer saw injustice for released rewarded terrorists over" re-arranged in some way.
You mention women voters, yet the representation of the people act was brought in during a Liberal givernment and voted on by almost a 50 / 50 split of Liberals and conservatives. The first women MP to take her seat was Nancy Astor a conservative and it wasn't until 10 years later that women had equal rights for voting with males, as brought in under a conservative government - the Representation of the Poeple (equal franchise) act 1928.
1st son of miner minister - Labour
1st Female Prime Minister - Conservatives
In your recent history, you have lauded over:
Social disintegration of our youth
The robbing of Pension provisions in the private sector
The uncapped ballooning of public sector non jobs to buy votes
The uncapped immigration of anybody to buy votes
The overflow of state prisons
Uncountable breaches of the data protection act
Unjustified application of the Human rights act
Unjustified invasion of Iraq
The widening of the gap between rich and poor (which isn't actually a necessarily bad thing, but must gall you)
An increase in people living below the poverty line (which is a bad thing)
The new occupation introduced: "On benefits"
The social engineering of our children and population using taxpayer money
The undermining of Schools curriculam and devaluing of GCE or GCSE levels
The sale of British Gold reserves, which is now valued at nearly 300% what Labour sold it for.
The worst defecit in non war-time history and the legacy of a failed banking system and a failed economy.
The corrupt trade union movement buying and dictating government policy
I really could go on all night. The only thing that still surprises me about so called socialists - is that they are still able to be so hypocritically smug.
"Individualism offers an infinitely graduated and infinitely varied system of records for genius, for enterprise, for exertion, for industry, for faithfulness, for thrift. Socialism destroys all this.
Socialism is one of the oldest and most often expounded delusions and fallacies which this world has ever been afflicted by. It consists not merely in a general leveling of mankind, but in keeping them level once they have been beaten down. "
